feedback informed treatment

Our clinicians use Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT). This involves monitoring clients wellbeing session-to-session, and getting regular feedback from clients about what is helpful versus what is unhelpful in therapy. This client feedback helps inform treatment and your psychologist will tailor the way they work to make therapy the best fit for you. Measures used by the psychologists include the Outcome Rating Scale and the Session Rating Scale, and both scales only take 1 minute to complete. Clinician’s monitor their client’s progress and incorporate the feedback into their work.

All clinicians are trained in general strategies for FIT implementation and undergo FIT supervision. FIT is not a therapy approach it is a way to monitor progress. Our psychologists are trained in various evidence based approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, emotion focussed therapy, schema therapy, and mindfulness.
